No Chance for Hydrogen

Hydrogen is produced as a byproduct during the pretreatment, as well as the coating process and can penetrate the product. In high-strength building parts this can in the worst-case lead to hydrogen-induced brittle fractures. This can for example result in the breakage of screw heads.

Depending on the surface we put the parts into an annealing furnace as an intermediate or final step in order to prevent this from happening. The hydrogen mostly escapes the material during this heat treatment.
